The EWWR campaign celebrates the most inspiring waste reduction actions of the 2024 edition! Join finalists, coordinators, and waste reduction enthusiasts in Leeuwarden for the annual Awards Ceremony.
The 2024 edition focused on food waste, highlighting its significant environmental impact and encouraging collective action to change the way we produce, consume, and distribute food in Europe. From 16 to 24 November 2024, a total of 12,724 actions were carried out across 29 countries in Europe and beyond, addressing waste reduction, product reuse and repair, materials recycling, and clean-ups.
The annual EWWR Awards Ceremony is organised to recognise the most outstanding actions from each edition of the EWWR. Every year, coordinators, action developers, and waste reduction advocates gather for a day of celebration. A jury of European environmental professionals selects the finalists and winners from among the many inspiring EWWR initiatives. The Awards Ceremony is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the dedication and creativity of EWWR participants.
This year, we’re bringing together participants, finalists, coordinators, and all waste reduction enthusiasts in Leeuwarden (Netherlands) on 12 June 2025 for our annual Awards Ceremony. Come and celebrate the most inspiring actions of the 2024 edition! The event will take place alongside the Circular Summit Fryslân 2025, a key gathering for circular innovation, collaboration, and fresh ideas.
